Mike was very thorough on what to expect as well as very good at explaining how certain things work, what to do and what not to do, he makes sure you understand what is said and even tests you to make sure you remember the important stuff. I highly recommend everyone to work with Mike!

I thoroughly enjoyed Michael's home inspection. He walked through the ins and outs of the property and made suggestions very valuable to me. The house was old, so it took almost 2 hours to complete the inspection. He was EXCELLENT, keeping my attention arrested throughout the two complete hours. His reports are so easy to read (with pictures and drawings) and lists many maintenance suggestions. If my family members are buying a house, this is the person to inspect the house with. He answered all of my questions, and more.

I was worried about wet windows, possible asbestos and just the general condition of my home. I purchased this home 5 years ago and at the time it wasn't inspected and it was something that was important to me to get done. I called Mike to book an appointment and he was here the very next day (less than 24 hours!) We walked around the perimeter of my home and he pointed out and explained to me what everything was for, how it worked and gave me general knowledge that every home owner should know (but probably doesn't). Indoor inspection was also very thorough and I learned a lot! (Including what the switch in my furnace room was for, that for the last 5 years left me clueless) * Hint * If you have one its likely your furnace switch and it needs to stay ON! Overall my house was great, only a few minor things that are easily fixed. Mike pointed out I had forgotten a carbon monoxide detector on my main level and told me exactly where to purchase it, along with a few other small replacements I could make easily. Good news, no asbestos in my popcorn ceiling! Mike was able to tell me on the spot which will allow me to go to sleep without worry tonight. I appreciated that he wore a mask, had shoes for indoor/outdoor, and put on gloves to keep things as safe as possible. I would not hesitate to recommend Mike/Icon Home Inspections. Extremely personable guy and it is easy to see how knowledgable he is. Thanks again Mike for putting my mind at ease today!

Michael/Batman was great! Super friendly, thorough, and explained everything as he went. He specifically tried to find if the ceiling tiles were the same in different rooms in order not to duplicate testing on the same type, and he was able to visually determine in most of them if they were potentially asbestos or not. Payment is by the sample, so rather than having me test 6 different tiles, he ruled out 5 that were definitely not asbestos and only submitted one for testing.

I used Icon Home Inspection prior to submitting an offer on a home. Michael was very responsive in communication and the inspection itself was very thorough and very knowledgeable. He ensured I was aware of all the various aspects of the home including shutoff valves and provided good advice on placement of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors for the home.
