I’m Michael Balaban, proud owner of Icon Home Inspections, Inc.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

I founded Icon Home Inspections for a couple of reasons. I wanted to be in business for myself and have the power to set a higher standard of service in the home inspection industry. I also enjoy educating clients about their future new home.

I have been an electrician for over twenty years and a home inspector for a little under eight years. With a total of twenty-six years working in the construction industry, I am ideally placed to be a home inspector.

Over the past couple of years, I have noticed that the government is working on licensing this industry. However, I’m personally working on raising the standards to better the home inspection industry.

The most rewarding part of owning the business is instilling confidence in my clients in regards to one of the largest purchase of their life - their home.

As far as accolades go, we recently got voted the Best Home Inspector in London in 2017. I believe my business has received this recognition by sticking to a very simple philosophy – ‘our job is to inspect, our goal is to educate values’. Honesty, integrity and the ability to fully educate my clients are the qualities that have made the business a success.

When I am not at work, I enjoy a wide range of sports, including, volleyball, football, and curling. During non-work time, I work with various charities such as Smiles4Seniors and Childcan. I can also be found dressed as Batman, volunteering in and around the city at local charity events!

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
